Cast Iron Pagash
  • Pizza dough, prepared
  • 2-3 cups mashed potatoes
  • Sliced onions
  • 1 Clove of garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1-2 Cups shredded cheese of your choosing (or more to suit taste). We used a combination of cheddar and asiago.
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Prepare pizza dough.
  3. Place rolled out dough inside lightly greased cast iron pan.
  4. Par bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the garlic to the butter and melt.
  6. Brush the entire crust with garlic butter. Any leftover you can mix into the potatoes.
  7. Mix some of the shredded cheese into the mashed potatoes.
  8. Spread mashed potatoes in an even layer on top of the pizza dough. About ¾ in thick layer.
  9. Add sliced onions to suit taste.
  10. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  11. Put back in the oven and bake until cheese is completely melted and starting to brown at the edges. About 15-20 min
