Cast Iron Pagash
- Pizza dough, prepared
- 2-3 cups mashed potatoes
- Sliced onions
- 1 Clove of garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1-2 Cups shredded cheese of your choosing (or more to suit taste). We used a combination of cheddar and asiago.
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Prepare pizza dough.
- Place rolled out dough inside lightly greased cast iron pan.
- Par bake for 10 minutes.
- Add the garlic to the butter and melt.
- Brush the entire crust with garlic butter. Any leftover you can mix into the potatoes.
- Mix some of the shredded cheese into the mashed potatoes.
- Spread mashed potatoes in an even layer on top of the pizza dough. About ¾ in thick layer.
- Add sliced onions to suit taste.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Put back in the oven and bake until cheese is completely melted and starting to brown at the edges. About 15-20 min
