Happy Mardi Gras!

ok fine.. so Fat Tuesday is actually over… but only by a few minutes here.

Did anyone get a chance to have some King Cake? We had some shipped in at work from New Orleans for the occasion, which was an awesome treat. Though after the fact I’m starting to think that the ‘Fat’ in Fat Tuesday has something to do with these things. SO delicious, but like 130% sugar. Alas, I did not find the baby 🙁

    For having been there 3 times, I hate to admit that I’ve never had one of these. By the way, I plan to make beignets one of these nights using the mix we got from Cafe du Monde. I will let you know, and maybe you can make them too and we can compare results and reviews in a future post.
