New Toy!

kitchenaid-mixer

I got a shiny new toy!

I’ve always wanted one of these (for no particular reason or need). I just really like the way they look. Granted that shouldn’t be the only reason to buy one, but I found a really good deal so I figured ‘why not?’. Then I realized my birthday was within a week of buying it. so yeah.. birthday present to myself! I totally meant that the entire time. 🙂

I had to test it out, of course, so I made a cake. That ‘semi-catastrophe-cum-accidental success’ will be its own post soon.

In the meantime, I ask, what should I make with it next? Give me some ideas in the comments!

Pasta dough is easy with one of these, especially if you get the pasta press attachments. I’m a big fan of pizza, pretzel and bread dough. That’s the majority of what comes out of my kitchen aid and it does get a lot of work.
