What a Menu!

Just read that this is the menu for the Inauguration dinner today.  I generally can do EITHER fancy clothes OR an awesome lunch, but not both at the same time.  There is no way I could make it out of a lunch like the Inauguration without spilling or dropping some food on my clothes.  Here’s the menu:

First course:

Steamed Lobster with New England Clam Chowder Sauce
Sautéed Spinach
Sweet Potato Hay

Second course:

Hickory-Grilled Bison with Red Potato Horseradish Cake and Wild Huckleberry Reduction
Butternut Squash Purée
Baby Golden Beets and Green Beans
Strawberry Preserve and Red Cabbage

Third course:

Hudson Valley Apple Pie with Sour Cream Ice Cream, Aged Cheese and Honey Maple Caramel Sauce
Artisan Cheeses

Wine:

Tierce Finger Lakes Dry Riesling (2010)
Korbel Natural, Special Inaugural Cuvée California Champagne
Bedell Cellars Merlot (2009)

I am drooling just reading the menu.  The only thing I am meh about is the Riesling, and that is just because I am not a fan of Riesling.  But I am on a mission to find these recipes now!
